Vehicle Damage Continues in Beechview, Castle Shannon

Brookline police blotter, April 16 to April 22.

Pittsburgh police are investigating three incidents of vehicle vandalism and theft that occurred in Beechview last week.

Jewelry was reportedly stolen from a car parked in the 2300 block of Palm Beach Avenue between 9 p.m. on April 16 and 7:30 a.m. on April 17. Another theft occurred around 4 a.m. on April 18, when the victim reported that his car had been stolen from the 1100 block of Banksville Road. A wallet and cell phone were inside the stolen car.

Between 10 p.m. on April 19 and 4 a.m. on April 20, a car parked in the 1400 block of Alton Street was damaged.

, , Castle Shannon, Mt. Lebanon and Baldwin last weekend, between April 13 and 14.

Castle Shannon police also reported that another vandalism incident occurred April 24 around 9:30 p.m. Witnesses reported that they heard glass break, although they did not immediately call police, according to the report.

Burglary

  • A man reported that someone he might know forced open a rear window and entered his home in the 1700 block of Fairacres Avenue in Beechview on April 17 between 6:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Electronics were stolen from the home.

Theft

  • Jewelry that had been left unattended on a store counter in the 800 block of Brookline Boulevard was reported stolen. The incident occurred April 16 between noon and 12:15 p.m.
  • A woman told police that someone stole her wallet from a store in the 2800 block of Banksville Road in Banksville, and used the stolen card at a restaurant. The incident occurred April 18 between 1 and 2:30 a.m.
  • An unknown black woman reportedly stole an item from a store in the 3200 block of Banksville Road in Banksville and fled at 12:48 a.m. on April 19.

Arrests

  • Raymone Lee Wilson, address unknown, was arrested for possession of marijuana by narcotics detectives in the 1200 block of Westfield Street in Beechview on April 17.
  • Arthur Johnson, of Brookline, was arrested for possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance in the 600 block of Dunster Street in Brookline on April 20.
  • Justin Wells, of Pittsburgh, was arrested for DUI in the 1400 block of Breining Avenue in Brookline on April 20.
  • Susan Ann Ported, of Penn Hills, was arrested for DUI and recklessly endangering another person in the 1100 block of Brookline Boulevard in Brookline on April 20.
