Three Arrested for Drug Possession

Brookline, Beechview police blotter, Feb. 4 to Feb. 10.

Three men, one of whom is a juvenile, were arrested Feb. 6 for drug-related charges in the 1500 block of Rockland Avenue in Beechview.

Narcotics detectives arrested the juvenile male for possession with the intent to deliver marijuana, heroin and cocaine. Darian Simpkins of Munhall also was arrested for possession with the intent to deliver cocaine.

Darrell Powell of Brookline was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Aggravated Assault

  • A woman reported she was assaulted by her son in the 1600 block of Fiat Street in Brookline on Feb. 4 at 12:30 a.m.

Burglary

  • A woman told police someone tried to force open the front door of her home in the 1400 block of Beechview Avenue on Feb. 5 between 7:30 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. It was unknown at the time of the report whether anything was missing from the home.

Theft

  • Prescription medication was stolen from a home in the 600 block of Fordham Street in Brookline. The theft occurred between 10 p.m. on Feb. 8 and 10 p.m. on Feb. 9.

Criminal Mischief

  • The window of a vehicle smashed, but it was unclear if anything was missing from the vehicle at the time of the report. The incident occurred in the 1500 block of Fallowfield Street in Beechview between 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 8 and 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 9.
  • Two juvenile males were cited for damaging a parked vehicle with a cart in the 1700 block of Rutherford Avenue in Beechview at 3:45 a.m. on Feb. 10.
  • A vehicle was reportedly damaged in the 2500 block of Wedgemere Street in Brookline between 5 p.m. on Feb. 6 and 3 a.m. on Feb. 7.

Arrests

  • Chad Romano of Bloomfield was arrested and charged with possession of paraphernalia in the 500 block of Clemesha Avenue in Brookline on Feb. 7.
  • Dominic Demarco of Brookline was arrested in the 2800 block of Kenilworth Street in Brookline on Feb. 7 by narcotics detectives for possession with the intent to deliver controlled substances, and possession of marijuana. Demarco was also charged with being a former convict in possession of a firearm.
  • Tyjuan Freeman of the Hill District was arrested Feb. 6 for prostitution and possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance by vice detectives in the 1100 block of Banksville Road in Banksville.
