Robbery, Attempted Burglary Reported While Brookline Residents at Home

Residents were at home during a robbery and an attempted burglary in Brookline last week.

Two attempted burglaries and a robbery were reported in the Brookline and Beechview neighborhoods last week, and in at least two of the cases, residents were home when it happened. 

On Aug. 19, a resident of the 700 block of Brookline Boulevard called police to report that an unknown white woman had entered the home at 3:25 p.m. and began yelling “Where is all my stuff?” The woman then began grabbing DVDs and CDs and left.

A resident also was at home overnight between Aug. 23 and 24 in the 1000 block of Brookline Boulevard when an unknown person opened a window of the house. The person did not enter the home.

Another attempted burglary occurred in the 1500 block of Beechview Avenue, where a front door was damaged when someone tried to force it open on Aug. 24 between 2:30 and 6 a.m. The person did not enter the home.

Police are investigating the incidents.
