Registration Open for Citizens Police Academy

What's it like to be a police officer? Pittsburgh Police are leading this program to show you.

How do police departments work? How is a crime scene processed? What are policemen doing when they're on patrol?

The Citizens Police Academy, sponsored by the Pittsburgh Police Department, aims to connect with citizens and teach them these things and more.

Held twice a year, the CPA is a 15-week course—a three-hour training session one evening a week—that highlights police training and exposes participants to the operations of the police bureau.

Courses will be taught by law enforcement professionals who teach both veteran and recruit police officers.
