Red Truck, Suspects Described in Medicine Theft

Brookline, Beechview police blotter, Aug. 20 to Aug. 31.

A man told Pittsburgh police he was walking near the intersection of Berkshire and Queensboro avenues in Brookline on Aug. 22 around 10 a.m. when two men driving a red pickup truck grabbed prescription medication out of his hand and fled.

The suspects both were described as white males, one between 25 and 30 years old. The age of the other is unknown.

  • A man reported that he was sleeping in his home in the 900 block of Norwich Avenue in Brookline when someone broke into the home through an unlocked window, late on Aug. 20 or in the early morning of Aug. 21. Money and a spare car key were stolen from the home.

Criminal Mischief

  • The window of a vehicle parked in the 2700 block of Queensboro Avenue in Brookline was broken between 7 p.m. on Aug. 28 and 7:30 a.m. on Aug. 29.
  • The window of a vehicle parked in the 900 block of Norwich Avenue in Brookline was broken between 10 p.m. on Aug. 28 and 6 a.m. on Aug. 29.
  • The window of a vehicle parked in the 900 block of Dorchester Avenue was broken between 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 28 and 5:15 a.m. on Aug. 29.
  • A vehicle parked in the 900 block of Norwich Avenue in Brookline was damaged between 10 p.m. On Aug. 28 and 6:20 a.m. on Aug. 29.
  • A telephone wiring box in the 2500 block of Wedgemere Street in Brookline was damaged between 7 a.m. on Aug. 27 and 7 p.m. on Aug. 29.

Arrests

  • William Weir of Beltzhoover was arrested for possession of marijuana at West Liberty and Cape May avenues in Beechview on Aug. 25.
  • Anthony DelMastro of Beechview was arrested for DUI near Chrysler Street and Pioneer Avenue in Brookline on Aug. 24.
  • Lisa Price of Brookline was arrested for stealing money from a business in the 700 block of Brookline Boulevard on Aug. 23. The money was recovered and returned.
  • Antione Reid of the North Side was arrested for possession with intent to deliver heroin on Broadway Avenue in Beechview on Aug. 31.
  • Missy Bender of Texas was arrested for prostitution in the 1100 block of Banksville Road on Aug. 31.
  • Latrice Osvobeni of Texas was arrested for prostitution in the 1100 block of Banksville Road in Banksville on Aug. 31.
  • Thomas Vena of Robinson Township was arrested for soliciting to patronize a prostitute near Banksville Road and Potomac Avenue in Banksville on Aug. 31.
  • Tracy Derrick and Derrick Howard of Banksville were arrested for possession of a controlled substance in the 2200 block of Potomac Avenue in Banksville on Aug. 30.
