Public Intox, Possible Theft Reported in Dormont

Dec. 14

  • Dormont police are investigating a possible robbery that reportedly occurred near the ATM at the PNC Bank on West Liberty Avenue in Dormont. A man told police he had just used the ATM to get cash when someone grabbed the cash from his hand and fled the scene on foot. No arrests have been made.

  • Dormont police responded to the Exxon station on West Liberty Avenue at 3:11 a.m. for a report that a woman who appeared to be intoxicated had come into the store and stolen seven donuts. Police found the woman, identified as Karen Territo, 49, Dormont, walking near the intersection of Arkansas and Illinois avenues. Terriot was charged with retail theft and public drunkenness.

Dec. 19

  • Officers responded to the 1300 block of Arkansas Avenue at 5:15 p.m. for a report of two suspicious people in alleyway. When they arrived on scene, officers spoke with the individuals and determined they were intoxicated. Adam Acosta, 33, of Brookline and Janel Hein, 31, of Lyndora, PA were arrested and charged with public intoxication. They were lodged at the Dormont police station until they were sober.
