UPDATE: Lottery Ticket Thief Arrested

Dormont police arrested a Dormont man who stole $89 worth of lottery tickets from the Exxon Market on West Liberty Avenue.

UPDATE (March 4, 10:08 a.m.): Dormont police arrested Roberto Beltran, 32, of Dormont at 1 a.m. on March 2 when Beltran returned to the Exxon store.

Dormont police are looking for a man who allegedly stole $89 worth of lottery tickets from the Exxon On-the-Go Market on Feb. 26.

Police responded to the Exxon Market at 7:25 a.m., when employees called to report that 44 lottery tickets were missing during an inventory check.

One employee told police she looked a survellience footage from the night before and saw a man go behind the counter around 1:30 a.m. and take a number of scratch-off lottery tickets.

The man is described as Hispanic, 5'7" with a medium build, with shoulder-length black hair worn in a ponytail and brown eyes.

A clerk at the store told police he had seen the man before but did not know his name. The clerk reported that the man often is wearing a black Pirates baseball hat and flannel shirt and blue jeans. The man also reportedly has a slight accent.
