Police Report Several Public Drunkenness Arrests

Dormont police news, April 19 to April 26.

Dormont police made multiple public drunkenness arrests in the borough last week, with several occurring on the same day.

Three arrests were made on April 25:

  • Police responded to the 1400 block of Park Boulevard at 2:57 a.m. for a report of a man smashing the windows of a car. According to the police report, the man—identified as Timothy Scully, 51, of Carnegie—told police the car belonged to him, and he was trying to enter the car because a friend had taken away his keys. Scully was charged with public drunkenness.
  • Police were called to the Sunoco on West Liberty Avenue in Dormont at 10:46 a.m. for a report that a man who appeared to be drunk had fallen over in the store, damaging a display case and merchandise. Police arrested Muharem Kostic, 41, of the Pittsburgh area, and cited him for criminal mischief and public drunkenness.
  • James Fignar, 55, of Dormont, was charged with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct following his involvement in an altercation in the 1100 block Illinois Avenue around 3:20 p.m., according to the report from Dormont police.

  • Daniel Waller, 29, of Mt. Lebanon, was charged with public drunkenness after Dormont police found him lying on the ground in the 1400 block of LaSalle Avenue on April 20 at 12:40 a.m.
  • A car was reported stolen from the 3000 block of West Liberty Avenue at 3:08 p.m. According to the police report, the owner told police he had left the keys inside the car while he went into a storefront for about 45 minutes. Police are investigating the incident.
