Police Investigating Cochran Infiniti Break-In

Dormont police are investigating after someone broke into the Cochran Infiniti dealership, entered two vehicles in the service area and stole change from an office.

Police responded to the dealership at 2841 West Liberty Avenue at 7:35 a.m. on May 28 when a service manager called to report a burglary.

According to the police report, the burglar entered through the back door of the service department, emptied the glove compartments of two privately-owned vehicles in the service area and left the contents on the front seats. It was not immediately known if anything was stolen from the cars.

It appeared that someone had rummaged through an office near the service area, but that only change was stolen, police said.

The Allegheny County District Attorney Crime Scene Department examined the vehicles, and lifted a number of fingerprints from the vehicles and the window of the office.

The investigation is ongoing.
