Police Investigating After Injured Man Found in Brookline

Pittsburgh Police Zone 6 crime update, July 15 to July 21.

Pittsburgh police are investigating after a man was found injured in Brookline. 

According to the police report, a man was found bleeding from a head wound in the 2500 block of Starkamp Street on July 18 just before 5 p.m.

Police said it was unclear whether the victim injured himself, or if another person caused the injury, and the matter is under investigation.

Theft

  • A purse was stolen from the porch of a home in the 1900 block of Broadway Avenue in Beechview on July 15 between 8:30 and 11:30 p.m.
  • A bicycle was stolen from the 1300 block of Oakridge Street in Brookline on July 19 between 2:45 and 4:30 p.m.
  • A television and gaming system was stolen from a home in the 2300 block of Bensonia Avenue in Beechview on July 19 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Stolen Vehicle

  • A vehicle was stolen without the keys from the 1500 block of Rockland Avenue in Beechview on July 18 between 9 a.m. and 4:50 p.m.
  • A dirt bike was stolen from the 1800 block of West Liberty Avenue in Brookline on July 20 between 2 a.m. and 3:10 p.m.

Criminal Mischief

  • A woman told police someone urinated on the rear door of her home in the 1600 block of Brookline Boulevard just after midnight on July 18.

Arrests

  • Hart of Brookline was arrested for DUI at West Liberty and Pioneer avenues in Brookline on July 18.
  • Mark Mcgowan of Brookline was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia at Stebbins Avenue and Trelona Way in Brookline on July 19. 
  • Sergey Malotiekov of Beechview was arrested for DUI in the 1700 block of Dagmar Avenue in Beechview on July 17.
