No New Info in Triangle Window Smashing

Dormont police are investigating a window smashing at Triangle Audio and Video, but have no new information at this time.

Dormont police are investigating a window smashing incident at Triangle Audio and Video, but have little to go on and no new information at this time.

Sunday around 11 p.m.

Chief Phil Ross said police don't have much information about the incident yet, but that it appears to be a case of vandalism.

"We don't have a whole lot more than that," Ross said. "It appeared pretty much that it was done by a BB gun or a pellet gun."

Ross said police reviewed surveillance footage from outside the store, and that there was no one standing or walking in front of the window when it collapsed. The damage likely was caused by someone driving by, or possibly by someone standing across the street, where surveillance footage wasn't available.

Triangle owner Lafe Decker said there was no other damage inside the business and that nothing was stolen. The business will be open during normal hours, and will not have to close for any period of time because of the incident, he said.
