More Home, Vehicle Vandalism in Brookline

Brookline police blotter, July 16 to July 23.

More vandalism to vehicles and homes has been reported in Brookline, much of it occurring between July 19 and 21.

The fence of a home in the 700 block of Woodbourne Avenue was damaged in the early morning hours of July 19. During the same timeframe, a railing was damaged at a home in the 2600 block of Waddington Avenue.

On July 21, another incident was reported, this time affecting a vehicle. A woman told police that someone let the air out of her vehicle’s tires while it was parked overnight in the 1800 block of West Liberty Avenue.

Burglary

  • Tools and money were reported stolen from a home in the 2300 block of Beaufort Avenue in Brookline on July 20 around 1 p.m.
  • A woman told police that someone forced open a rear door of her home in the 900 block of Woodbourne Avenue in Brookline July 19 between 7:30 a.m. and 8:45 p.m. and stole cereal.
  • A woman reported that someone broke into her home in the 2300 block of Whited Street in Brookline through a rear door and stole jewelry. The incident occurred July 18 between 6:15 a.m. and 5:14 p.m.

Theft

  • Money was stolen from a purse that had been left unattended in the 2400 block of West Liberty Avenue in Beechview on July 18, between 6 and 9 p.m.
  • Jewelry was stolen from a home in the 2500 block of Allender Avenue in Banksville on July 20 between 1:30 and 3 p.m.
  • An unsecured bicycle was stolen in the 1400 block of Brookline Boulevard in Brookline on July 18 between 3 and 3:45 p.m.

Theft from Vehicle

  • A woman told police that her purse, which contained prescription medication, was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked in the 1800 block of Pioneer Avenue in Brookline on July 23, between 3:45 and 6:10 p.m.

Criminal Mischief

  • The windshield of a vehicle parked near Fallowfield and Bayonne avenues in Beechview was smashed on July 20, between 1:30 a.m. and 12:20 p.m.
  • A window screen at a home in the 2200 block of Broadway Avenue in Beechview was damaged on July 19, between midnight and 7:30 a.m.
  • A vehicle was scratched while it was parked in the 2300 block of Saranac Avenue in Beechview on July 23, between 8:30 and 9 a.m.

Arrests

  • Christina Squillace of Brookline was arrested for DUI near Warrington Avenue and Saw Mill Run Boulevard in Beechview on July 20.
  • A man and woman were arrested for domestic violence in the 900 block of Bay Ridge Avenue in Brookline on July 23.
  • Landell Reynolds of East Liberty was arrested for possession with the intent to deliver heroin by narcotics detectives in the 1700 block of West Liberty Avenue in Beechview on July 21.
  • Kristine Ledford of Ohio was arrested for prostitution in the 1100 block of Banksville Road in Banksville on July 18.
