Man Turns Himself In After Assault

Dormont police had a warrant for simple assault for the man after a March 17 incident.

A man accused of assault turned himself in to Dormont police Friday morning, according to officers.

According to the police report, a man, identified at Timothy Brock, 49, of Dormont, got into an argument over money with the alleged victim and assaulted the victim on March 17, at a home in the 2900 block of Bellrose Avenue.

Police said Brock came to the police station Friday morning and turned himself in on a warrant for simple assault. He was taken to Allegheny County Jail, and later released, according to the court docket.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 28 at 1:30 p.m. before Judge Blaise Larotonda.
