Man Tells Police He Was Hit, Pepper Sprayed in Brookline

Pittsburgh Police Zone 6 Crime Update, June 24 to July 6.

A man was assaulted and pepper sprayed last week on Brookline Boulevard before his assailants fled, according to a report from Pittsburgh Police.

A man told police he was in the 1200 block of Brookline Boulevard at 2 a.m. on July 2 when two men he didn’t know struck him in the head with something and pepper sprayed him before running away.

No arrests have been made.

  • A woman told police two men stole a bicycle from her yard in the 900 block of Norwhich Avenue in Brookline on June 27 at 11 p.m.

Theft from Vehicle

  • Someone stole a dealer license plate from a vehicle parked in the 2600 block of West Liberty Avenue in Brookline on June 24 between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Arrests

  • Narcotics detectives arrests William Miller of Arlington Heights on June 28 on Dawn Avenue in Beechview for possession with the intent to deliver heroin.
  • Ronald Nelson of Dormont was arrested for DUI on June 25 in the 1100 block of Chappel Street in Banksville.
  • Sara Wyant of Pittsburgh was arrested for DUI and possession of marijuana on July 5 at West Liberty and Cape May avenues in Beechview.
  • Robert Druga of Brookline was arrested for DUI on July 5 in the 2400 block of Starkamp Street in Brookline.
  • Louis Schanck of Brookline was arrested for possession of a controlled substance on July 4 at Norwich and Queensboro avenues in Brookline.
