Man Shot With BB Gun in Dormont

A Dormont man was sitting on the porch of his Potomac Avenue home when he was shot with a BB gun, according to .

Officers responded to the 1600 block of Potomac Avenue around 10 a.m. on May 1, after the man called to report that he’d been shot with what he believed to be a BB gun. The man directed police to an open window in an apartment building across the street, according to the report.

Police arrested Robert Felton, 19, of 1625 Potomac Ave., and charged him with reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.

April 28

  • An electronic motorized Cadillac replica toy was reported stolen from outside of George the Tailor on Potomac Avenue at 5:19 p.m. The toy car is valued at $400. No arrests have been made.

April 29

  • Officers responded to the 1100 block of Mississippi Avenue at 2:26 p.m. for a report of a woman screaming inside a home. When officers arrived on scene, the woman was yelling for help and two pit bulls were fighting inside the home. According to the report, one of the dogs was covered in blood when officers arrived, and the woman was bleeding from her hands and arms. Paramedics arrived and treated the woman. The owner of the dogs told police he had recently gotten one dog from the Animal Rescue League in East Liberty, and would be taking it back to the shelter.

April 30

  • Two officers on patrol witnessed a car strike a parked car in the 2900 block of West Liberty Avenue at 2:04 a.m. Joshua Gallant, 32, of Brookline, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He was taken to St. Clair Hospital for a blood draw.
  • Police responded to the 2800 block of West Liberty Avenue at 5:30 a.m. for a report of a man who had tried to enter several apartments in the building and then passed out. Jeffrey Freddes, 48, of Dormont, was arrested and lodged at the Dormont police station until he was sober. He was charged with public drunkenness.

May 3

  • Dormont police and responded to 1697 Potomac Avenue at 6:17 a.m. for a report that the building had been struck by lightening during a thunderstorm. According to Dormont police, damage to the building was minor and no injuries were reported.
  • Police responded to a home in the 1400 block of Park Boulevard at 3:30 p.m. for a report of a burglary. The suspect entered the home by pushing in a window air conditioner, according to the police report. The only item listed as stolen in the report was a 32-inch Visio television. No arrests have been made.

Police received a number of parking complaints, noise disturbance reports and nuisance reports that did not result in arrests or charges.
