Man Vomits in Cab, Skips Out on Fare, Police Say

The following information was supplied by Dormont Police. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

An Upper St. Clair man allegedly vomited in a taxicab before trying to run out on the tab last week, according to Dormont police.

Police responded to the 3100 block of West Liberty Avenue at 8:27 p.m. on June 23 for a report that two men had run from a taxicab without paying the fare.

Police said they found Kevin Brown, 26, in the area, that he appeared highly intoxicated, and was unable to stand without assistance. The cab driver identified Brown as one of the men who had skipped out on the fare, and told police Brown also had vomited in the cab, according to the police report.

Brown was arrested and charged with public drunkenness and theft of services.

June 24

  • A GPS unit and toolbox were stolen from a vehicle parked in the 2800 block of Crosby Avenue. The driver’s side window of the vehicle had been broken. No arrests have been made.

June 26

  • Police responded to a home in the 2800 block of Broadway Avenue in Dormont at 10:45 p.m. for a report of domestic assault. When police arrived, they observed visible injuries to the face of a female victim. A Dormont man was arrested for public drunkenness and simple assault.

June 27

  • Officers received a report of an intoxicated man knocking on doors in 2800 block of West Liberty Avenue around 7:30 p.m. According to the police report, officers found the man—identified as Raymond Pfister, 49, of Beechview—staggering from side to side in oncoming traffic on West Liberty Avenue. Pfister was arrested for public intoxication.

June 28

  • Police responded to in the 1500 block of Potomac Avenue at 4:45 a.m. for a report that an intoxicated man was refusing to leave the store. Police arrested Alexander Zwiskle, 18, of Upper St. Clair, for public drunkenness and underage drinking.
