Heroin Arrests, Theft in Brookline, Beechview

Brookline, Beechview police blotter, March 4 to March 10.

The following information was supplied by Pittsburgh Police, and is a report for crimes and arrests in Zone 6. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. A map of the Zone 6 area can be found here.

Burglary

  • Copper pipe was stolen from a home in the 1600 block of Rutherford Avenue in Beechview on March 10 between noon and 4 p.m.

Theft

  • A cell phone was reported stolen from a home in the 1200 block of Beechview Avenue in Beechview on March 5 between 1 and 8 a.m.
  • A cell phone was reported stolen from a home in the 1000 block of Brookline Boulevard in Brookline on March 7 at 6:30 p.m.
  • A debit card was stolen in the 1200 block of Brookline Boulevard in Brookline between 3 and 7:30 p.m. on March 8.

Stolen Vehicle

  • A vehicle was stolen without the keys from the 2600 block of West Liberty Avenue in Brookline between March 9 and March 11.

Criminal Mischief

  • The lock was cut off of a garage door in the 900 block of Woodbourne Avenue in Brookline between 10 p.m. on March 6 3 p.m. on March 7.

Arrests

  • Joshua Patragas of Washington, Pa. and Jonna Jo Swisher of Cannonsburg were arrested for possession of heroin in the 500 block of Crane Avenue in Beechview on March 9.
  • James Strothers of Beechview was arrested for possession with the intent to deliver heroin, and Daniel Dusch of Mt. Washington was arrested for possession of heroin in the 1500 block of Broadway Avenue in Beechview on March 8.
  • Steigerwald of Pittsburgh was arrested for possession with the intent to deliver marijuana, and with fleeing and eluding police. He was arrested near the intersection of Stetson Street and Woodward Avenue in Brookline on March 6.
  • Quomeini Adams of Michigan was arrested for DUI in the 2500 block of West Liberty Avenue in Beechview on March 8.
