Gun Arrest Made in Brookline

Pittsburgh police arrested a man who was carrying a gun without a license.

A call about a man lying on a Brookline street turned into a gun arrest for Pittsburgh police on Sunday.

Officers responded to the 2400 block of Plainview Avenue on Aug. 5 for a report of a man lying in the street. According to the police report, the man—identified as 27-year-old Matthew Lukasiewicz of Brookline—was intoxicated, and combative with medical personnel.

Police recovered a loaded handgun from Lukasiewicz's back pocket, according to the report. Lukasiewicz was charged with disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and firearms not to be carried without a license. Lukasiewicz was transported to the Allegheny County Jail.
