Former Castle Shannon Priest Charged with Child Pornography
Local news organizations report Rev. Bartley Sorensen, formerly of St. Anne Church, was charged with possessing child pornography.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and WTAE report that Rev. Bartley Sorensen, who formerly worked at St. Anne Church in Castle Shannon, was charged with possessing more than 100 illegal pornographic images, including child pornography.
Sorensen currently works at St. John Fisher Parish in Churchill. According to the news reports, a church worker saw Sorenson looking at pornography and reported the incident.
WTAE reports that Sorensen is in Allegheny County Jail on a $100,000 bond, and that a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 19.
