DUI Charges, Drug Arrests in Brookline and Beechview

Theft

  • A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 2000 block of West Liberty Avenue in Brookline on Nov. 12 between 1 and 2 p.m.
  • Jewlery was reported stolen from a home in the 2400 block of Wenzell Avenue in Beechview on Nov. 14 at 1:10 p.m.

  • A motorcycle was stolen without the keys from the 2300 block of Los Angeles Avenue in Beechview between 9 p.m. on Nov. 15 and 4 a.m. on Nov. 16.

Criminal Mischief

  • Pittsburgh police responded to a report of three men damaging a vehicle in the 2300 block of Vodeli Street in Beechview on Nov. 18 at 12:20 a.m. Officers located the vehicle, which had a broken window, but no arrests were made.

  • Joseph Gambaro of Beechview was arrested for DUI and possession of heroin at Broadway and Hampshire avenues in Beechview on Nov. 13.
  • Jeffrey Hamilton of Beechview was arrested for possession of marijuana and Broadway and Hampshire avenues in Beechview on Nov. 13.
  • Sommer Pikutis of Beechview was arrested for possession of a controlled substance in the 600 block of Hampshire Avenue in Beechview on Nov. 15. Pikutis was arrested twice earlier this fall on theft and drug charges.
  • Nancy Thomas of Arlington was arrested for DUI in the 1900 block of West Liberty Avenue in Brookline on Nov. 16.
  • Ross English of Brookline was arrested for DUI at Pioneer and Bellaire avenues in Brookline on Nov. 18.
  • Amanda Rodgers of Homestead was arrested for DUI in the 2400 block of West Liberty Avenue in Beechview on Nov. 17.
  • Tina Weinzen and Latoya Smith of Washington, Pa. were arrested for prostitution and other related charges by vice detectives in the 1100 block of Banksville Road on Nov. 13. William Powers of Washington, PA also was arrested Nov. 13 for promoting prostitution and other charges.
