Dormont Public Safety Day Canceled

Rain cited as factor.

Dormont Volunteer Fire Department canceled its Public Safety Day Saturday morning because of rain.

The event was to have included fire trucks and equipment, police cars, an Allegheny County SWAT vehicle, medical examiner's mobile lab, STAT MedEvac helicopter, police K-9 unit, simulated "smokehouse" and police motorcycles.

Fire officials did not immediately return calls about the cancellation. Watch Patch for details to see if the event is rescheduled.
