Dormont Police Blotter March 9 to March 16

March 10

  • are continuing an investigation of a vandalism incident that affected about 30 cars in the borough between March 10 and March 11. No arrests have been made to date. For the full story, .
  • Police responded to on West Liberty Avenue at 3:10 a.m. for a report that a couple was arguing loudly and throwing salt and pepper shakers at each other inside the restaurant. Kaylee Thorpe, 21, of Brentwood, and Robert Masucci, 26, of Mt. Washington each were cited for disorderly conduct.

March 11

  • Luke Connolly 45, of Carnegie was cited for criminal mischief. Police were called to in the 3100 block of West Liberty Avenue at 7:50 a.m. for a report of a customer, identified as Connolly, refusing to leave the store. A store manager told police Connolly had gone into the restroom and damaged a wall heater.

March 12

  • Police responded to a noise complaint in the 2800 block of Connecticut Avenue at 4:56 p.m. According to the police report, police gave a verbal warning to the men inside the home. As the police were leaving, a man identified as George Price, 45, of Dormont, came out of the house and began shouting derogatory statements at the police. Price arrested at lodged at the Dormont police station until he was sober. He was cited for public drunkenness.

March 14

  • Employees at in the 1500 block of Potomac Avenue reported around 1 p.m. that they had received a counterfeit $100 bill. Dormont police took the bill, which was then sent to the United States Secret Service for investigation. No arrests or citations have been made.
