Dormont Police Blotter Feb. 11-Feb. 17

The following information was supplied by Dormont Police. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Feb. 11

  • Dormont Police responded to a call that three people were fighting in the 3300 block of Eastmont Avenue at 3:30 a.m. Joseph Bauer, 20, as well as a 16-year-old and a 15-year-old, were cited for underage drinking and disorderly conduct.

Feb. 12

  • Police responded to a report at 3:30 a.m. that a group of teens were breaking car mirrors in the 2900 block of Voelkel Avenue. The suspects were not identified, and were not at the scene when police arrived. Three cars were damaged.

Feb. 15

  • The passenger side mirror of a vehicle in the 2800 block of Philadelphia Avenue was damaged between 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 14 and 6 a.m. on Feb. 15. No arrests have been made.

The following information was supplied by Baldwin Township police:

  • George Tilley, 53, of Royal Oak Road in Scott Township was stopped for speeding by Baldwin Township police at the McNeilly-Pioneer Avenue intersection in Dormont Borough around 1:14 a.m. on Feb. 4. Officers from the Dormont Police Department also responded. Police reported smelling an alcoholic beverage, and finding a small amount of a controlled substance in Tilley's vehicle. Tilley refused to be subjected to a blood test and was taken to the Allegheny County Jail. Tilley is charged with driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance, and several traffic violations.
