A Dormont man is awaiting his preliminary hearing in Allegheny County Jail after he threatened to kill employees inside MIB Entertainment on West Liberty Avenue last week.
came to the store just after 5 p.m. on Aug. 20, when the owner called to report that an apparently intoxicated man—identified as Michael Mann, 42, of Dormont—came into the store trying to sell speakers and other equipment.
Mann was asked to return when he was sober, and then began threatening to kill the owner and other store employees, according to the police report. A number of patrons were reportedly in the store at the time.
Police said that Mann continued to yell profanity and threaten the officers, and had to be physically restrained after he resisted arrest.
Mann was charged with public drunkenness, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and making terroristic threats.
He failed to post a $75,000 bail, and is in Allegheny County Jail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 30.
