Community Bank on Brookline Boulevard Robbed

The Community Bank branch on Brookline Boulevard was robbed Wednesday afternoon.

Pittsburgh police are investigating a robbery at the Brookline Boulevard branch of Community Bank Wednesday afternoon.

Police responded to the bank just after noon for a hold-up alarm. A bank employee told officers that a man came into the bank and went to the teller window, then handed the teller a note that said “Be quiet and hand me everything in your drawer … I have a gun.” The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount.

The suspect is dscribed as a white man, 5’10”, wearing glasses, with facial hair (beard). He was wearing a red baseball cap, gray T-shirt with camo sleeves and blue jeans. He was last seen running across Brookline Boulevard, cutting between two houses and out of view.
