Burglaries, Thefts Reported in Local Neighborhoods

Pittsburgh Police Zone 6 Crime Updates, Sept. 16 to Sept. 22.

Crime updates from Pittsburgh Police for the Zone 6 area, which includes Brookline and Beechview, from Sept. 16 to Sept. 22.

Burglary

  • Someone entered a home in the 1500 block of Wareman Avenue in Brookline through a garage door and stole electronics and jewelry. The incident occurred between 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 21 and 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 22.
  • A television was stolen from a home in the 500 block of Bellaire Avenue in Brookline on Sept. 21 between 3:45 and 11:57 p.m.

Theft

  • A package delivered to a home in the 1100 block of Brookline Boulevard in Brookline was reportedly stolen between 12:20 p.m. on Sept. 17 and midnight on Sept. 18.

Theft from vehicle

  • A GPS unit was stolen from an unlocked car parked in the 2300 block of Palm Avenue in Beechview between 10 p.m. on Sept. 19 and 7 a.m. on Sept. 20.

Arrests

  • Rebecca Rush of Mount Washington was arrested for DUI at West Liberty and Pioneer avenues in Brookline on Sept. 21.
  • Daniel Simcox, Danielle Bailie, and Alenjandro Hernandez, all of Brookline, were arrested by Narcotics Detectives for possession with the intent to deliver marijuana on Sept. 17 in the 1300 block of Berkshire Avenue in Brookline. Hernandez and Bailie were also charged with endangering the welfare of children.
  • Claire Ryan of Dormont was arrested for retail theft in the 500 block of Brookline Boulevard in Brookline on Sept. 20. 
  • Katie Musick of Pittsburgh was arrested for possession of heroin in the 2500 block of West Liberty Avenue in Beechview on Sept. 16.
