Brothers Arrested for Public Drunkenness

According to police, two men tried to start a confrontation with an off-duty officer.

Two brothers were arrested after police say they tried to start a fight with an off-duty police officer.

Dormont police responded to the parking lot of PNC Bank on West Liberty Avenue at 1:42 p.m. on Feb. 17 for a report of a possible assault.

According to the police report, two men—identified as brothers Michael Brown, 45, of Pittsburgh and William Brown, 48, of Dormont—tried to start a confrontation with a man in the parking lot.

The man was an off-duty police officer from another local department, who contacted Dormont police with a description of the men. Dormont police located the men in the area of Potomac and Broadway avenues.

Each of the men was charged with public drunkenness.
