Brookline Woman Arrested for DUI in Baldwin Township

The driver was stopped during roving DUI patrols.

As part of the Mt. Lebanon Area DUI Task Force,  police stopped a vehicle being driven by Kristen McCracken, 39, of 857 Norwich Ave. in Pittsburgh's Brookline neighborhood, for erratic driving on Sunday.

McCracken was stopped in the 400 block of McNeilly Road, where the reporting police officer detected a strong odor of alcohol upon conversing with her, according to Sgt. Marty Conroy. Conroy said that McCracken also admitted to recently drinking alcohol.

The officer put McCracken through field-sobriety tests, which she failed, before arresting her and taking her to  for a blood test. Results of that test are pending.

Police are charging McCracken with suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
