Brookline Police Blotter April 1 to April 8

Theft

• Metal housewares that were left unattended were stolen from a home in the 1400 block of Alton Street in Beechview. The suspect is described as a white man, about 55 years old, with a full beard. The incident occurred April 3 at 5 p.m.
• A woman reported that someone she knew stole her debit card from her home in the 300 block of Mayville Avenue in Brookline and made a transaction. The incident occurred April 3 between 2:15 and 2:45 p.m.
• A woman reported that someone stole prescription medication from her home in the 1200 block of Berkshire Avenue in Brookline. The incident occurred April 3 between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
• Police responded to a report that someone stole candy from a store in the 1100 block of Brookline Boulevard and fled. The incident occurred April 1 at 4:49 p.m.

Criminal Mischief

• A man reported that someone he might know spray painted his company-owned vehicle and slashed two tires while it was parked in the 1700 block of Reality Avenue in Beechview. The incident occurred April 8 between 2:30 and 7:15 a.m.
• A woman reported that someone she might know spray painted her vehicle and slashed the tires while it was parked in the 1500 block of Napoleon Street in Beechview. The incident occurred April 8 between 1:30 a.m. and 6:45 a.m.

Arrests

• Joseph Hughes, of Pittsburgh, was arrested for aggravated assault, resisting arrest and underage drinking in the 1600 block of Napoleon Street in Beechview on April 8.
• A man was arrested for violating a protection from abuse order in the 1600 block of Methyl Street in Beechview on April 3.
• Todd Kirk, of Carrick, was arrested for possession of marijuana in the 800 block of Brookline Boulevard in Brookline on April 6.
• A woman was arrested for domestic violence in the 300 block of Longmore Avenue in Beechview on April 1.
• A juvenile male was arrested for stealing money from his legal guardian in the 1600 block of Fallowfield Avenue in Beechview on April 1.
