Brookline Police Blotter 12/21 to 12/28

Aggravated Assault

  • A man told police that someone driving a white BMW fired a gunshot at him during a road rage incident near Brookside and Sebring avenues in Beechview on Dec. 24.
  • A man told police that someone crashed a vehicle into his Whited Street property in Brookline on Dec. 25. The man said that while he was trying to talk to the person, the person hit him with the vehicle and then drove away. The man told police the person is a light-complexioned black man, about 20 years old, 6’1” and 150lbs, and was wearing a red jacket and baseball cap. The car was a silver 2012 Nissan SUV.

Robbery

  • A woman told police she asked another woman, who she didn’t know, to hold her purse while she put something in her car on Beechview Avenue in Dec. 21. The woman took the purse and ran away.
  • A woman reported that a man broke into her Beechview Avenue home through a back door, hit her with something and demanded money on Dec. 20. The woman told police the man—described as a medium-complexioned black man, about 23 years old, 5’8” and 150lbs—pushed her into a bathroom while he searched the house and left after taking money. According to the woman’s description, the man was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and had a red bandana covering his face.

Theft

  • Packages delivered to two Brookline homes between Dec. 20 and Dec. 22 were reportedly stolen before the owners could bring them inside. One package was stolen from a home on Queensboro Avenue, the other from a home on Bay Ridge Avenue.
  • A man told police he accidentally left his phone on a store counter on Brookline Boulevard and left the store on Dec. 21. According to the man, the store owner mistakenly gave the phone to another person, who he thought was the owner.
  • A woman reported that someone she knew stole jewelry from her Kiralfy Avenue residence in Beechview between Dec. 20 and Dec. 22.
  • A woman reported that someone she knew stole her laptop from a Reality Avenue residence in Beechview between Dec. 24 and Dec. 25.

Arrests

  • Dale Perrin of Brookline was arrested for DUI and aggravated assault on West Liberty Road in Beechview on Dec. 19.
  • Thomas Cook of Mt. Lebanon was arrested for DUI on West Liberty Avenue in Brookline on Dec. 19.
  • James Barclay of Brookline was arrested for DUI on Glenarm Avenue in Brookline on Dec. 23.
  • Patrick Byrnes of Pittsburgh was arrested for possession of a controlled substance on West Liberty Avenue in Beechview on Dec. 19.
  • Regina Knox was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia o West Liberty Avenue in Beechview on Dec. 25.
