Broken Car Windshields, Graffiti Reported in Brookline

Broken windshields, and graffiti on cars and homes were reported in Brookline last week and through the weekend.

Overnight on June 20, three cars—all parked in the 2400 block of Starkamp Street—sustained broken windshields and other damage. Another vehicle, this one parked in the 900 block of Brookline Boulevard, was damaged on June 22 around 3 a.m.

Two reports of graffiti were made. Between 9 p.m. on June 18 and 4 p.m. on June 19, the garage of a home in the 2800 block of Midland Avenue was spray painted. Another garage door was spray painted in the 800 block of Bellaire Avenue overnight between June 23 and 24.

Theft

• A weed whacker was stolen from the porch of a home in the 3100 block of Stebbins Avenue in Brookline on June 23 between 12:30 and 4:30 a.m.
• A garage door keypad was stolen from a home on Fordham Street in Brookline on June 22 between 5:20 and 6:50 p.m.
• A safe containing money was stolen by known persons from a home in the 700 block of Brookline Boulevard in Brookline on June 22 around 3 a.m.

Theft from Vehicle

• Parts were stolen from a vehicle while it was parked in the 1700 block of Crosby Avenue in Beechview between 11 p.m. on June 20 and 9 a.m. June 21.

Arrests

• Joshua Cameron of Beechview was arrested for possession of marijuana and public drunkenness at Coast and Alverado avenues in Beechview on June 21.
• Jacob Morton of Beechview was arrested for possession of marijuana in the 3100 block of West Liberty Avenue in Beechview on June 20.
• Adam Acosta was arrested for assaulting someone with a knife on Blaine Street in Brookline on June 21.
• A man was arrested for domestic violence in the 1400 block of Breining Street in Brookline on June 22.
• Raymond Freyvogel of Beechview was arrested for aggravated assault for assaulting a man in the 700 block of Brookline Boulevard on June 24. Officers have applied for an arrest warrant for the other man.
• Jonathan Jones of Brookline was arrested for possession of marijuana in the 2600 block of Pioneer Avenue in Brookline on June 21.
• Robert Hays of Banksville was arrested for DUI at Chappel Avenue and Roseberry Street in Banksville on June 18.
