BP Robber Strikes Beechview Store

The suspect who robbed a Brookline gas station could be the same man who robbed a Beechview store Tuesday morning.

Pittsburgh police are investigating an incident in which a white man, between 20 and 30 years old, 5'6" and 120lbs, walked into the Sunrise Sunoco at 1721 Banksville Road in Beechview around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, pointed a gun at an employee and demanded money.

He took money and cigarettes, then fled down Banksville Road, according to the police report.

The man was wearing a camouflage baseball cap, gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, and had a white bandanna covering his face.

A man of a similar description robbed the on West Liberty Avenue in Brookline at gunpoint on Sunday morning. In that case, the suspect stole money and fled down West Liberty Avenue.
