A Beechview man was arrested twice last week, in two separate incidents.

Pittsburgh police responded to Carnegie Library on Brookline Boulevard on April 25 at 12:15 p.m. for a report of a man who appeared to be intoxicated, sleeping on a couch in the library.

Police awakened the man—identified as Joshua Riley, 24, of Beechview—and found drugs and drug paraphernalia in his possession.

According to the report from Pittsburgh police, officers recovered seven stamp bags of heroin, 11 pills and a hypodermic needle.

Riley was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. A preliminary hearing on these charges is scheduled for May 29 before Judge Donna Jo McDaniel.

Riley also was arrested April 20 in Beechview for stealing money from the tip jars of two Broadway Avenue businesses, according to police reports. A preliminary hearing on these charges is scheduled for June 11.

Suboxone Treatment saves so many lives, but you also have to want to get clean for yourself. Those who have never been addicted can never truly know what one goes through while addicted. I'm one of the few who have survived and lived to tell my tale. RIP to those who haven't been so lucky and to those struggling i hope you find a reason to want to stop the madness of addiction.
