Alleged Victims Of Brookline Home Invasion Charged With Making False Report

Two people reported a violent home invasion on Harcor Drive in July, but police determined it was a false report.

Two people who told police they were the victims of a violent home invasion in Brookline in July have been charged with making false reports to police.

According to a July report from Pittsburgh Police, two men with guns entered a home in the 1700 block of Harcor Drive just after 3 a.m. on July 19, assaulted two people inside the house and asked "where is the money?" At the time, police said the victims were not able to provide much information about the suspects.

After an investigation, the initial report was updated to reflect that police determined it was a false report. Pittsburgh police are not releasing the names of the individuals at this time.
