$4,000 of Heroin Recovered During Arrest In Beechview

Pittsburgh police executed a search warrant at a home on Oct. 4.

Hundreds of stamp bags of heroin and other items were recovered after Pittsburgh Police executed a search warrant at a Beechview home.

Police went to a home in the 1300 block of Beechview Avenue on Oct. 4 just before 4 p.m. and executed a search warrant in relation to narcotics activity in the area.

Through an investigation, detectives identified Duwayne Lewis, 25, who was at home when served with the search warrant.

Officers recovered 400 stamp bags of heroin—a street value of $4,000—as well as $468 and a small amount of marijuana.

Lewis was arrested and charged with various narcotics offenses, and is currently on probation for similar offenses.
