CA Technologies Celebrates 7th Annual Green Weeks

The waterways of the Monongahela River are a little bit cleaner today thanks to the efforts of employees from CA Technologies in Pittsburgh. In celebration of Earth Day, employees took to the river by pontoon boats to remove trash and clear debris from the riverbanks to assist Friends of the Waterfront in its efforts to transform Pittsburgh’s rivers and riverfronts from industrial wastelands to internationally recognized examples of environmental renewal.

Friends of the Riverfront relies on volunteers like those from CA Technologies in order to maintain, promote, and improve the 24-mile Three Rivers Heritage Trail and 18 Three Rivers Water Trail river access points.

“Giving back to the communities where our employees live and work is an important part of our company culture,” said Erica Christensen, vice president, Corporate Social Responsibility, CA Technologies. “Whether it's planting trees, revitalizing distressed neighborhoods or cleaning local beaches and parks, CA employees will again come together and work to strengthen the communities where we do business.”
