VIDEO: RNC Protesters Surprise PA Delegation with 99% Version of Steelers Polka

VIDEO: The PA RNC delegation got a surprise when protesters burst into their meeting and "serenaded" the group with a 99% version of the "Steelers Polka" before being escorted out by security.

This week in Tampa, the Pennsylvania RNC delegation got a special surprise when a group of protesters burst into their breakfast meeting and  “serenaded” the group with a special version of the "Steelers Polka.”

Just as the program was about to kick off, the group made their presence known with a “PA Workers” song calling on the Republican delegation to focus on the concerns of working people of Pennsylvania, not just the wealthiest 1%.

The group was comprised of many minimum wage, unemployed and outsourced workers from across the state, many of whom have tried repeatedly to raise these issues with their members of Congress as home. Many of the workers make minimum wage at companies owned by Bain Capitol, Mitt Romney's firm. The “PA Workers” aimed to let the delegation know that Mitt Romney and all PA elected officials should make the rich pay their fair share, raise the minimum wage and stop providing tax breaks for corporations that ship jobs overseas. After being removed by security, the protesters made their way to the sidewalk to wait for guest speaker, Speaker John Boehner to arrive.
