Melanoma Monday

Today, is Melanoma Monday. Melanoma Awareness day. A very important day to spread awareness about skin cancer, a type of cancer that is close to my heart!

Today, is Melanoma Monday.  What the hec does that mean?! It means that its Melanoma Awareness day.  A very important day to spread awareness about skin cancer, a type of cancer that is close to my heart!  A year and a half ago, my sister was diagnosed with Stage 3 Melanoma…went through a year of Interferon Treatment and is totally going STRONG. She is a TOTAL ROCKSTAR!!!!! She is one strong kickass lady…I tell ya what! 

I have become very diligent with sun protection, getting my skin checked every 6 months, and spreading the word and hoping for a cure.  I hope you will join me in this fight for a cure!

Today, I want you to be aware. Pay attention to your skin.  Go to the dermatologist for skin checks.  Wear sunscreen, a hat, and protect your skin.  Spread the word. Hope for a cure. And please, for the love of god…DO NOT GO IN THE TANNING BEDS, it’s not worth it!!!!!
