Animal Friends Tag Day Text-A-Thon

Animal Friends' shelter dogs will be stationed throughout downtown Pittsburgh  “begging” for spare change and barking about the importance of licensing your pet.

People can also donate $10 simply by texting the word “Paw” to 85944 all day long! Animal Friends will also accept donations of cash and check. Pet lovers who show us a picture of their pet will receive a coupon for a free treat from Animal Friends' retail store. The dogs’ goal is to raise $2,500 for Animal Friends in one day, and introduce people to some adoptable dogs along the way.

Animal Friends’ volunteers will be on the other ends of the leashes, collecting donations and answering questions about pet adoption and reasons to tag and license your dog. Many donors will be photographed for Animal Friends’ website and Facebook.
