Midnight Radio Season 5, Episode 2: War of the Worlds LIVE Broadcast and Fundraiser

With Bill Peduto, Paul Guggenheimer, and Brian
Siewiorek.

We're celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the
original broadcast of the Mercury Theater's classic end-of-the-world radio play,
War of the Worlds - with a Pittsburgh spin.

War of the Worlds was written by H. G. Wells
and adapted for radio by Howard W. Koch.

It was broadcast on October 30, 1938 on CBS
Radio, creating widespread panic among listeners, many of whom actually believed
the US was under attack by martian invaders.

Exactly 75 years after Orson Welles’ original
broadcast, Bricolage presents a one-hour LIVE broadcast on WESA 90.5.

Join us starting at 8:00 for a reception
catered by Salt of the Earth. The live broadcast will begin promptly at 9:00.

Please note that October 30 is not the entire
Midnight Radio performance. This is a special, intimate evening fundraiser for
Bricolage. Only 75 tickets will be sold. Apocalyptic attire encouraged.
