Author Talk & Book Discussion

Join local author and historian Emily M. Weaver as she discusses her new book The Fort Pitt Block House—the remarkable story of Pittsburgh’s oldest architectural landmark.

Constructed in 1764, the Block House has endured for over three centuries and over the years has served as a defensive fort in the French and Indian Wars, a trading post, a home to families, and even a candy shop.

Ms. Weaver is the current curator of the Fort Pitt Block House historic site.
