PennDOT will be completing roadwork at several points around the City of Pittsburgh this weekend.

Parkway East (I-376)

  • Squirrel Hill Tunnel Rehabilitation: Traffic in the westbound (inbound) Squirrel Hill Tunnel on the Parkway East (I-376) will be restricted to a single lane from 9 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday for tunnel rehabilitation work.

I-579/Crosstown Boulevard/Veterans Bridge

  • Ramp/bridge improvements: The southbound I-579 Veterans Bridge in the City of Pittsburgh will be reduced to a single lane from 8 p.m. Friday through approximately 6 a.m. on Monday for expansion dam replacement and resurfacing. In addition, the ramp from the inbound (northbound) Liberty Bridge to northbound I-579 (Crosstown Boulevard) will be closed to allow crews to continue wall rehabilitation.

Route 28

  • Wall construction: Southbound (inbound) Route 28 in the City of Pittsburgh and Millvale Borough will be reduced to a single lane from 8 p.m. on Friday through 6 p.m. on Saturday between the former Millvale Industrial Park location and the East Ohio Street exit. The right lane will be closed as crews continue wall construction.

Banksville Road

  • Roadway improvements: Work to improve Banksville Road (Route 19) between Beverly Road and the Parkway West (I-376) in the City of Pittsburgh, Mt. Lebanon Township and will occur from 8 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. on Monday. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane in each direction.
