Weekend Restrictions On Saranac Avenue to Inbound West Liberty

The restrictions are part of the West Liberty Avenue reconstruction project.

Access to and from Saranac Avenue from northbound West Liberty Avenue will be closed Friday night through Monday morning, weather permitting, according to PennDOT.

The work was to be done earlier this month, but was postponed because of weather.

Crews will be reconstructing the center of West Liberty Avenue in the area.

Motorists will not be able to make a left turn from inbound West Liberty to Saranac or a left turn from Saranac to inbound West Liberty Avenue. Traffic on outbound West Liberty will still be able to turn right onto Saranac and traffic on Saranac will be able to turn right onto outbound West Liberty.

The restrictions will occur from 7 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday. Signs will be posted to guide motorists.

From Saranac to inbound West Liberty:

  • Make right onto outbound West Liberty
  • Turn right onto Wenzell Avenue
  • Make right onto Broadway Avenue
  • Right onto Pauline Avenue
  • Make left onto inbound West Liberty

From inbound West Liberty to Saranac:

  • Turn left off West Liberty onto Wenzell Avenue
  • Make right to Vodeli Street
  • Right onto Mackinaw Avenue
  • Follow Mackinaw Avenue to Saranac
