Freezing Rain to Start During Dormont-Brookline Rush Hour

NWS issues a winter weather advisory for Friday morning.

It might not be snowing yet, but Dormont and Brookline roads could get a little "slippy" come rush hour.

Freezing rain and ice accumulations of about a tenth of an inch are expected on Friday, and in our area, that rain/snow mix will start around 9 a.m.

Rain is expected through the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service, and temperatures will hang in the mid-30s.

The National Weather Service warns of hazardous travel conditions because of ice-covered roads.

Winds of 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph are also forecast.
