Black Friday Specials at South Hills Village

With Black Friday upon us, here are some events South Hills Village will host throughout the day. Check back for updates!

First and foremost – your editor is crazy.

I’m spending the first few early hours of my day at South Hills Village Mall. Normally I wouldn’t get up and take part in the Black Friday shopping madness, but today I’ll be updating you about conditions at the mall – at least until we hit normal business hours. Check back throughout the day.

For those of you who are brave enough to venture to the mall on this, the craziest of shopping days, here’s a rundown of some events and services available at South Hills Village on Black Friday:

  • Coffee and pastry sampling- Giant Eagle Market District from 7 to 10 a.m. Lower Level Center Court.
  • Roving Carolers from 8 to 10 a.m.
  • Academy of Dance by Lori - Dancers handing out coupons at Food Court, C and D entrances from 9 to 11 a.m. They will be performing their holiday dance program live in South Hills Village on Dec 1 from 6 to 6:45 p.m. in Lower Level North Court.
  • Southminster Church Bellringers - two performances, first from 11 to 11:50 a.m. and again from 12 to 12:50 p.m. - Lower Level North Court.
  • Dairy Queen/Orange Julius Sampling from 2 to 4 p.m. in Lower Level Center Court.
  • Cameron Heyward Steelers Signing at Steelers Sideline Store from 5 to 6 p.m., Lower Level North Court.  
  • Salvation Army Treasures for Children/Angel Tree  - bringing joy to an individual or family in need.  Tree tags found at Simon Guest Services.
  • Photos with Santa - Lower Level North Court - Black Friday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with reindeer breaks from 1 to 2 p.m. and 5 to 6 p.m.
  • Cutest Santa Photo Contest on South Hills Village Facebook Page.
  • Ride the Holiday Express Train - 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • American Red Cross Card signing for the Troops - Simon Guest Services/Lower Level Center Court. Support the American Red Cross by Purchasing a Candy Cane Simon American Express Gift Card.  $1 Donation to the Red Cross with Each Candy Cane gift card purchase.  Terms and conditions apply.
