Holiday Snowfall Causes Sled Shortage in South Hills

You read that right—after last week's snowfall, many stores are sold out of this favorite winter item.

The holiday week's snowfall and cold temperatures have made for perfect sledding conditions for local kids, but stores around the South Hills can't keep up with the demand for sleds.

Dick's Sporting Goods at South Hills Village has no sleds left in stock, and it's the same story over at Toys R Us. Both stores have trucks coming on Friday, but it's unclear if there will be any new sleds for sale.

Do you know of a store in Dormont or Brookline with sleds still in stock? Or do you have a sled alternative to share with local kids?
