KO Students Battle Disease Through Art

This Thursday's Keystone Oaks student art show and concert will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Keystone Oaks students are building on the idea that art and music can help the healing process.

This week's student art show serves a double purpose—showcasing student artwork from throughout the school year, and raising awareness about cystic fibrosis, as well as funds to combat the disease.

The free event, "Creativity for a Cause," will be held in the middle school lobby this Thursday, May 16, beginning at 6 p.m., with the spring music concert beginning at 7 p.m.

"Every year our art show is among the highlights on the school calendar and so is the spring music concert," said district guidance counselor Jennifer Chambers. "We have so many talented young people in our midst and to have the opportunity to showcase some of our wonderful talent and to also help raise money for such a worthy organization as CFF, is just a remarkable opportunity for everyone."
