Christopher Houlihan Performance

The Organ Artists Series (OAS) of Pittsburgh will present organist Christopher Houlihan in concert at St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church. The performance is in cooperation with the Music at St. Bernard’s Lee F. Hohman Organ Concert Fund.

Widely recognized as one of the brightest stars in the new generation of American organists, Christopher Houlihanwas recently appointed Artist-in-Residence at St. Ignatius of Antioch Episcopal Church in New York. During the 2010–11 concert season, he was a featured performer at two American Guild of Organists’ regional conventions, completed his second European tour, and inaugurated the newly installed pipe organ at the Sondheim Performing Arts Center in Iowa.

Houlihan completed his undergraduate degree at Trinity College in Connecticut, where he inspired a student fan club known as “Houli Fans.” At the time of his graduation, he already recorded two commercial CDs and performed across Europe, which expanded “Houli Fans” into a global following.  Houlihan completed his graduate degree at The Julliard School in New York, where he studied with Grammy Award-winning organist, Paul Jacobs.
