2012 is the 43rd year of A Fair in the Park, an annual contemporary art and craft festival, presented by The Craftsmen’s Guild of Pittsburgh. A Fair in the Park is held in the lush surroundings of Mellon Park, adjacent to the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, and along Fifth and Shady Avenues in Pittsburgh’s upscale Shadyside area. This pleasant park setting provides A Fair in the Park with a casual ambience that makes this one of the most enjoyable shows of the season. Rated one of Sunshine Artists top 100 art shows nationwide, A Fair in the Park features the overall highest quality arts and crafts consistently obtaining a high rating from participants. In addition to the vast array of art and craft displays and demonstrations, A Fair in the Park features a concert, strolling entertainment, a children’s activity and project area and a variety of Pittsburgh’s fabulous foods. A Fair in the Park does not charge admission fees to the public.
