A Canonsburg native will perform on national television next week—and her family has asked borough folks to tune in and vote to help her—and her fellow singers—advance on the hit NBC show "America's Got Talent."

Born and raised in Canonsburg, Stephanie Vinisky-Homber, part of American Military Spouses Choir, will appear with the group at 9 p.m. next Tuesday, Aug. 6.

According to the group's website, the American Military Spouses Choir is a stellar choir performance group made up of 50-100 military spouses from all branches of service and from around the United States of America.

"They were brought together by the non-profit Center for American Military Music Opportunities," the "America's Got Talent" website indicated. "They wish to inspire and support not only their fellow military family and service members, but the nation as a whole."
